But before you learn the Dua for diabetes, let’s get acquainted with basic facts about how widespread the disease is and what its repercussions are.

Diabetes Facts:

Diabetes occurs when your pancreas either stops producing enough insulin or the insulin produced by the organ cannot be effectively used be by the body.

Did you know over 400 million are globally suffering from the condition, called diabetes, presently? And it is one of the leading causes of heart attack, stroke, blindness, renal failure, and amputation of the lower limbs in the world.

Over one third Americans are suffering from this disease, about 90% of which are unaware of it. More than 1.5 million people died from this disorder in the world in 2016 alone.

Dua for Diabetes:

A Hadith in Sahih Bukhari (Hadith No. 5742) mentions the prayer that the Rasool (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite for the complete recovery from a disease. Here you can learn the Dua in Arabic along with its translation in Urdu and English.

English Translation: “O Allah! O Lord (Sustainer) of people! O One Who frees one from a suffering, bless (me/us) with a cure (and health). There is no one who can give a cure except You. Bless (me/us) with such a recovery (from illness) that there remains no sign of disease.”

In Hadith from Sunan Abi Daood (Hadith No. 3106), the Rasool (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) has been reported as having taught another Dua for diabetes which should be recited seven times while sitting near the patient. That prayer too is given here.
